An advocate for global human rights and public health, Anastasia Selberis recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies. She chose to self-design her concentration, focusing on Post-Conflict Reconstruction, Political Stability, and Peacebuilding in the Near East and Eastern Europe. As a leader in the Greek-American and Greek-Orthodox Christian community, Anastasia engages in Interfaith Relations to unify American communities. While at UC Berkeley, she studied the Arabic language daily. Due to an acute interest in countering violent extremism, she has achieved training and experience in counter-terrorism, hostage negotiation, and combatting human trafficking. She is honored to serve as the Research Intern for the American Muslim Women’s Empowerment Council.
