Muslims speaks on Australia Bondi Beach attack on Jews from Israel

At the Stand Together Rally in Washington, D.C., Anila Ali called on Muslims to remember our shared history — how Jewish organizations supported us after 9/11 when we felt alone. In the wake of Hamas’ brutal attacks on October 7, she urged moral courage, solidarity, and a united stand against extremism.

AMMWEC participated in a Sharaka delegation to Poland alongside Muslim scholars and imams, who led prayers at Auschwitz, honoring the victims of one of humanity’s darkest tragedies. This powerful moment underscored the moral responsibility of Muslim leaders to stand against antisemitism and uphold human dignity everywhere.

AMMWEC Executives, together with the Sharaka delegation, met leaders of the Abraham Accords Caucus in Berlin, Germany—strengthening international partnerships and advancing a shared vision of peace, dialogue, and regional cooperation.

AMMWEC joined Sharaka’s Muslim delegation to Germany, where faith leaders met with Mr. Felix Klein, the Federal Government Commissioner for the Fight Against Antisemitism. The visit highlighted the shared commitment to confronting hatred and strengthening interfaith cooperation in Europe.
AMMWEC is a non-profit women’s rights organization empowering Muslim women to confront bigotry in all its forms, celebrate our faith’s beautiful heritage, and build strong bonds with fellow Americans of all backgrounds. Founded as an uplifting alternative to old-guard male-dominated organizations, AMMWEC gives Muslim American women the tools and opportunities to lead. We operate a community helpline for women in need; facilitate a law enforcement internship program for Muslim women; organize female career mentoring networks; and host pioneering women-led interfaith encounters. As maternal pillars of the community, AMMWEC’s leaders feel a responsibility to uphold Islam’s core values of tolerance and personal responsibility to help build the future all American deserve.

Anila Ali, President of AMMWEC, led a delegation of U.S. Muslim leaders to Israel, where they met with survivors of the October 7 attacks, engaged with government leaders, and witnessed firsthand the realities of life in Israel during the conflict.

AMMWEC and SHARAKA Second Delegation to Israel Strengthening Bridges Led by Anila Ali, AMMWEC and SHARAKA continued their bridge-building efforts with a second delegation to Israel, including Pakistani leaders Dr. Nasim Ashraf and journalist Imtiaz Mir, reflecting growing momentum for regional peace and Muslim–Jewish engagement.

AMMWEC led an “I Bear Witness” solidarity tour to Israel with the Combat Antisemitism Movement following Hamas’s attacks, meeting leaders including Michal Herzog, visiting survivors, and witnessing firsthand the devastation and ongoing rocket fire, reaffirming its commitment to stand against terror and advocate for peace.
