The American Muslim and Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council (AMMWEC) and its National Coalition on Combating Hate and Antisemitism marked the second anniversary of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks with a solemn gathering to remember the victims and honor the survivors.

In 2025, the American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council (AMMWEC) expanded into a nationally and internationally recognized platform advancing interfaith cooperation, countering antisemitism, and promoting religious freedom. AMMWEC strengthened its role as a bridge-builder among minority communities, particularly amplifying voices from South Asia through the International Religious Freedom Roundtable.

2022

AMMWEC met with prominent women leaders in Morocco, including Asma Chibbi, to discuss women’s rights, leadership, and the vital role women can play in advancing peace and shaping the next generation of female leaders.

In June 2023, AMMWEC joined Empower Women Media in Marrakesh to promote Abrahamic unity. There, Founder Anila Ali met leaders from Women Wage Peace (Israel) and Women of the Sun (Palestine), forging a partnership that led to a joint peace invitation later that year. This photo captures Muslim and Jewish women united in hope and determination—a moment of solidarity before October 7.

2022

AMMWEC and Sharaka’s third delegation to Israel in November 2022 included distinguished Muslim leaders such as Burhan Azeem, City Council Member from Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Imam Tlaib Shareef, a prominent African-American faith leader.
