Asian youth came together to celebrate the diversity of Asian heritage and to discuss the bigotry and discrimination the Asian-American community has been facing the past year. Students shared their personal experiences and discussed ways young people can take action to combat racism and hate in all its forms.

Our board member, Rana Syed, donated grocery items to the Families Forward in Orange County, California. She met with the wonderful staff of Families Forward to donate food on behalf of AMMWEC & our generous donors. We are honored to help our brothers and sister in need during the holy month of Ramadan.

Our dedicated board member Zeba Zebunnesa represented AMMWEC and volunteered at the Islah Islamic Center. AMMWEC is proud to have donated Iftar boxes to the Islah Mosque that provides assistance to the low-income, African-American community in the heart of Los Angeles. Thanks to donations made, we were able to serve iftar to our black brothers & sisters as well as many non-Muslims who go to the center for food.
